ONCE I PAY THE REGISTRATION FEE, WHAT IS THE NEXT STEP?

WHAT IS THE NEXT STEP AFTER I SUBMIT MY REGISTRATION FORMS?

The Admissions Representative will email you a confirmation that your forms have been received. All you have to do is show up on the first day of class.

WHEN DO I TURN IN A COPY OF MY ID, SS CARD, AND ANY OTHER PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS?

You can turn any program requirements on the first day of class.

DO ALL PROGRAMS REQUIRE A HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR GED?

Yes, however if a student does not have a high school, GED or Equivalent they can take the  Ability to Benefit Exam. (Except for Phlebotomy)

CAN I TALK TO AN ADMISSIONS REPRESENTATIVE BEFORE REGISTERING?

Yes, we strongly encourage students to come talk to one of our friendly admissions representatives before registering for a program. We recommend students to schedule an appointment in advance by calling 714-550-1052.

DOES QBICS OFFER FINANCIAL AID?

I AM CURRENTLY PARTICIPATING WITH THE ONE STOP CENTER THROUGH THE EDD (WIA, CAL-WORKS, TAA/TRA) CAN I ATTEND QBICS Career College

Yes, QBICS Career College is approved by the EDD One Stop Center to help students achieve a career. Talk to your case manager or counselor specialist and let them know you would like to visit the campus. We are also approved on the ETPL list.

WHAT IS THE PAYMENT METHOD AT QBICS?

QBICS Career College allows you to make payments by credit card, check, money order or cashiers check.

WHAT STUDENT SERVICES DOES QBICS Career College OFFER?

At QBICS Career College students have the opportunity to participate in community volunteer programs, externship/internships and job placement. QBICS Career College also offers students with tutoring services and access to E-Books/Textbooks as well as Computer Lab.

IS THE ADMISSIONS DEPARTMENT OPEN ON SATURDAYS?

We are only open Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.

IS THE JOB PLACEMENT/EXTERNSHIP DEPARTMENT OPEN ON SATURDAYS?

No. Please schedule an appointment Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

What are the regular Business Hours?

Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

PHLEBOTOMY FREQUENT ASKED QUESTIONS

How long does it take for me to get my license once I finish my program?

According to the Laboratory Field Services “it takes a minimum of 90 days after the receipt of a complete application (including fee, a signed attestation page, and documentation of education, training or experience) for LFS staff to process license and certificate applications.”

Can I work as a Phlebotomist even if I don’t have my license?

No. You must wait until you have your license before applying for phlebotomy positions.

Do I need to have medical knowledge to take this program?

Yes.

How much experience do employers usually require in order to hire a phlebotomist?

Between 6 months to 1 year of experience. Please do job research before registering for the program.

What kind of characteristics or skills does QBICS require of their students to have for this program?

Excellent customer service (being compassionate and caring); having excellent manual skills; active listening and paying attention to detail; critical thinking, service orientation, self-control, stress tolerance, adaptability/flexibility and having a positive attitude.
