PHLEBOTOMY

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: This program is approved by the California Department of Public Health for students who are interested and meet the requirements of becoming a CPT 1 through the CDPH.

PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Type of attitude: friendly, caring and positive.
  • High School or GED official transcripts (we need 2 official ones)
  • Valid picture ID and SS card
  • TB test or Chest X-ray clearance
  • Hepatitis B vaccine

MEDICAL ASSISTANT

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: In this program students will learn the fundamentals of a Medical Assistant which include administrative and clinical procedures. This program also includes the State Approved Phlebotomy training.

  • High School diploma, GED, Equivalent or pass the Ability To Benefit exam

NURSE ASSISTANT

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: In this program students will learn the nursing assistant skills designed and approved by the California Department of Public Health. Student are required by the C.D.P.H. to complete 50 hours of lecture and 100 hours of clinical. Upon successful completion a student may sit for the State Certified Nursing Assistant exam to become Certified Nurse Assistant by the California Department of Public Health.

NURSE TECHNICIAN

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: Student will learn the following courses: Basic computer skills, Nursing Assistant, Restorative Nursing Assistant, Home-care, Introduction to Mental Health, and Phlebotomy.

PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Type of attitude: friendly, caring and positive.
  • High School or GED official transcripts (must be sealed)
  • Valid picture ID and SS card (matching first and last name)
  • TB test or Chest X-ray clearance
  • Hepatitis B vaccine
  • 2 pictures (the size of the pictures should be passport size)

PROGRAM SCHEDULE:

Basic Computer Skills: Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Nursing Assistant: Monday – Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (Please note: clinical hours are from 7:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.)

Introduction to Mental Health, Restorative Nursing Assistant, Home-care and Phlebotomy: Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Length: 18 weeks

ESSENTIALS TECHNICAL SKILLS

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: This program will prepare students for their GED Exam (Science, Social Science, Math, Reasoning with Language Arts) and also teach basic computer skills including: introduction to computer, hardware and software, internet skills, one drive and Microsoft office applications by the use of desktop, laptops, phones and much more.

PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS:

COMPUTER ELECTRONIC TECHNICIAN A+

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: This program is designed to teach student’s hardware, software, and IT troubleshooting, repairing and computer maintenance. Students will also prepare for the A+ Exam.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: This program is designed to prepare students for entry-level in the computer networking field.

  • Basic computer knowledge in hardware and software, MS Windows OS, Internet and software applications.
  • High School diploma, GED, Equivalent or pass the Ability To Benefit exam.
